Face Blindness Tool

A Raspberry Pi necklace that uses facial recognition so you can glance at a name on your phone.

I've always had trouble putting names to faces, so I decided to solve my problem with a wearable device that uses facial recognition to detect the name of people you see. The device was a Raspberry Pi Zero W which had a 3d printed necklace case.

The core functionality is that the webpage would display a picture and name of the last person it identified on a website for the user to quickly glance at on their phone. I programmed a GUI with the Python Flask Library and HTML.

The webserver interface would form a cue of faces without known names. The idea was that after you meet someone new, you could quickly write their name into the database so that the device could tell you later when you see them again.

Pictured below are some screenshots of the code and rudimentary interface.
